If you operate a single-location business, connecting your Google Business Profile (GBP) to your MLA funnel or website is straightforward — the reviews widget auto-syncs, and everything just works.
Multi-location businesses face a choice: connect one GBP (typically the HQ) and accept a "local" perception issue in other markets, or use static review images and preserve local trust in every market. Here's the trade-off.
The problem with connecting one GBP across multiple locations
GBP profiles are location-specific. If you have branches in Branch_1, Branch_2, and Branch_3., each branch typically has its own GBP. Connecting only one (say, Branch_1) to your funnel means:
Prospects in Branch_1 and Branch_2 may see reviews linked to a Branch_3 address
If they click through to the GBP, they land on a location that's not theirs
This can erode the perceived "local" trust that helps convert leads
Option A — Connect one GBP (live widget)
How it works: We connect the GBP of your choice (usually HQ or your highest-review-count location) and embed a live reviews widget. New reviews sync automatically.
Best when:
You're single-location, or
All branches share a single unified GBP, or
You're comfortable with the "not local to this market" trade-off
What the live widget can and can't show
Even with a live widget connected, the display is controllable — reviews don't have to expose location-specific details unless a reviewer mentioned them. There is no click-through action to the underlying GBP profile, so leads see the reviews but don't land on the GBP itself. We can also filter to show only 4+ star reviews.
Option B — Static review image
How it works: Instead of connecting the GBP, we create a static image showing your review count and average rating (e.g. "65+ 5-star Google Reviews"). No location callouts, no click-through.
Best when:
You have multiple locations with separate GBPs
You want each market to feel local without the "wrong location" issue
You want to combine reviews across all locations for a bigger number
Trade-off
Static images don't auto-update. If you accumulate more reviews, we swap in an updated image when you request one (or on a periodic cadence — ask about our review-update schedule).
Later: Google Map Ads
When you're ready to run Google Map ads, we'll need GBP access at that point (Map ads require it). Static images are compatible with your funnel now, and GBP access can be granted later for Map ads without changing your funnel setup.
