How to Request Content or Design Changes on Your MLA-Built Website

Post-launch website change requests — the preferred format, what to include, and turnaround expectations.

Written by Support Team

Once your website is live, we're happy to make ongoing content and design updates for you. Here's how to submit requests so they can be picked up and completed quickly.

If you're looking for our initial website build service (custom design, hosting, CRM integration), see our article "Do you build websites?" instead. This article covers changes to an existing website we've already built for you.

How to submit a change request

Email [email protected] with your requests. The clearer the request, the faster the turnaround. We recommend structuring requests by page.

Preferred format

For each change, tell us:

  • Page: Which page (Home, About, Services, Contact, etc.)

  • Section: Which section of that page (Hero, Services, FAQ, etc.)

  • Change: What you'd like changed (current text/image → new text/image)

  • Assets: If new images or logos are needed, upload them to your GDrive folder and include the link

Example

Page: Home
Section: Hero
Change: Change subheadline from "Roofing you can trust" to "Family-owned since 1998"
Assets: (none needed)

Common changes we handle

  • Adding or removing services

  • Text updates (copy, headlines, CTAs)

  • Photo swaps

  • Adding new sections (About page, Team, Reviews)

  • Adding new subpages (Commercial, Residential, service-specific pages)

  • Menu / navigation adjustments

  • Adding scrolling partner logos, badges, awards

  • Color pop / formatting adjustments

Turnaround

Small text changes: 1–2 business days. Structural changes (new pages, layout adjustments): 3–5 business days. Larger redesigns may take 5–10 business days depending on scope.

Reference sites

If you've seen a website you like and want to reference its look and feel, include the URL in your request. That's usually the fastest way to align on direction.

Not seeing your changes live?

If you've been notified that a change is done but you're not seeing it on the live site, it's usually a browser cache issue. Try:

  1. A hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)

  2. Opening the site in a private/incognito window

  3. Checking on a different device

If it still doesn't show, email us and we'll investigate.

Website tracking phone number

Your MLA-built website uses a dedicated tracking phone number so we can attribute leads correctly. If you see your personal cell number on the site instead of the tracking number, it's almost always a browser cache issue — try the hard-refresh steps above first before flagging it to us.
